Maybe you're wondering what sets me apart from every other Medium writer—well, not everyone has lived in India, New Jersey, New York, Texas, California, and Ohio. The events that inform my experience are varied, to say the least: moving to America just before 9/11, two stints on the psych ward, working as a tech bro's Cyrano, helping to create a new DSA branch, working as a nanny on Fifth Avenue in New York City, working as a schoolteacher in the same district that educated me. I promise to keep this place unique and engaging. And if nothing else, you'll get some good recipes and some very odd stories about working odd jobs in multiple states.
